Description:

Ultramid 8202 HS is a heat stabilized, low viscosity, general purpose PA6 injection molding. It possesses the combination of strength and toughness and has excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. The heat stabilizer system extends the retention of properties at the more elevated temperatures. Excellent in filling thin walls or areas.

Ultramid 8202C is a modified crystalline and low viscosity, PA6 injection molding homopolymer. It is also available in heat stabilized (Ultramid 8202C HS) and/or pigmented versions. Its unique crystalline structure results in increased strength, stiffness, heat distortion temperature and performance under load as a homopolymer. It also cycles faster while maintaining properties and chemical resistance.

Ultramid 8202C HS is a heat stabilized, low viscosity, PA6 injection molding homopolymer possessing a modified crystalline structure for increased property performance and faster cycles. It is also available in pigmented versions.

Ultramid 8232G HS FR is a 25% glass fiber reinforced, heat stabilized, flame retardant pigmented black PA6 injection molding compound exhibiting excellent melt stability characteristics. It combines flame retardant ability with an excellent balance of high strength, stiffness and heat distortion temperature.

Ultramid 8253 HS is a heat stabilized, impact modified type 6 graft copolymer developed for both injection molding and extrusion applications requiring improved dry as molded toughness and increased flexibility. It is also available in non-heat stabilized (Ultramid 8253) and/or pigmented versions.

Ultramid 8350 HS is a heat stabilized, impact modified type 6 graft copolymer developed for extrusion, tubing, and jacketing applications requiring a high level of toughness combined with a moderate level of flexibility. It is also available in non-heat stabilized (Ultramid 8350) and/or pigmented versions.

Overview:
Ultramid grades are molding compounds on the basis of PA6, PA66 and various co-polyamides such as PA66/6. The range also includes PA610 and semi-aromatic polyamides such as PA6T/6. The molding compounds are available unreinforced, reinforced with glass fibers or minerals and also reinforced with long-glass fibers for special applications. Ultramid is noted for its high mechanical strength, stiffness and thermal stability. In addition, Ultramid offers good toughness at low temperatures, favorable sliding friction behavior and can be processed without any problems.

The most important properties of Ultramid:
High strength and rigidity
Very good impact strength
Outstanding resistance to chemicals
Low tendency to creep
Dimensional stability
Simple processing

Because of the manifold and tailor-made characteristics of Ultramid many applications are possible, especially in automotive construction, electrical engineering and electronics, in household technology, industrial connection, photovoltaics, in construction and installation, furniture, the sanitary industry and in mechanical engineering.

Ultramid can be processed by all methods known for thermoplastics. The main methods are injection molding and extrusion. Complex moldings are economically manufactured in large numbers from Ultramid by injection molding. The extrusion method is used to produce films, semi-finished products, pipes, profiled parts, sheet and monofilaments. Semi-finished products are usually further processed by cutting tools to form finished molded parts.
