Description:
Amodel A-1565 HS is a 65% glass and mineral-reinforced polyphthalamide (PPA) designed to be cost-effective in applications requiring high stiffness, good dimensional stability and good retention of stiffness at elevated temperatures. This grades also exhibits a high deflection temperature and flexural modulus.

Amodel A-1625 HS is a carbon and glass-reinforced, heat-stabilized grade of polyphthalamide (PPA). It is formulated for applications requiring the dissipation of static charge. This material is well suited for fuel systems applications requiring low permeation, low swell, and high thermal resistance. It can also be used for components of electrical/electronic systems requiring high strength and stiffness, as well as static charge dissipation.

Amodel A-1933 HSL is a 33% glass reinforced grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) resin. This grade was developed specifically for improved performance in a 50/50 ethylene glycol and water environment. This material was tested using the aggressive automotive coolant system, ethylene glycol with organic acid stabilizer, at 130°C (266°F). It exceeds the performance required by the automotive industry for polymeric materials exposed to high-temperature antifreeze solutions. Potential applications include a variety of automotive components such as thermostat housings, heater core endcaps, heater hose connectors, and water inlets, outlets, and valves. 

Amodel A-4133 HH is a 35% glass fiber reinforced heat stabilized grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) that has been designed to provide outstanding property retention to thermal oxidative degradation at temperatures of 230°C. Other features are fast cycling and hot water moldability. This product is particularly suitable to air induction applications within downsized automotive engines such as air induction charge air cooling and exhaust gas recirculation. This grade features high heat deflection temperature, high flexural modulus and high tensile strength, as well as excellent creep resistance and low moisture absorption.

Amodel A-4145 HH is a 45% glass fiber reinforced heat stabilized grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) that has been designed to provide outstanding property retention to thermal oxidative degradation at temperatures of 230°C. Other features are fast cycling and hot water moldability. This product is particularly suitable to air induction applications within downsized automotive engines such as air induction charge air cooling and exhaust gas recirculation. This grade features high heat deflection temperature, high flexural modulus and high tensile strength, as well as excellent creep resistance and low moisture absorption.

Amodel A-4160 HSL resin is a 60% glass reinforced, heat stabilized polyphthalamide (PPA) which exhibits high modulus at elevated temperatures, a high heat deflection temperature and exceptional creep resistance. This material was designed for metal replacement applications. Its rapid crystallization and good flow characteristics allow shorter cycles for enhanced molding productivity.

Amodel A-4160 L is a 60% glass reinforced polyphthalamide (PPA) which exhibits high modulus, a high heat deflection temperature, and exceptional creep resistance. This material was designed to replace metal and is particularly suited for corrosion sensitive applications. Its rapid crystallization and good flow characteristics allow shorter cycles for enhanced molding productivity.

Overview:
Amodel PPA outperforms standard polyamides with higher strength and stiffness at elevated temperatures, better retention of properties in humid environments, and greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals. 
 
Higher Heat Resistance
Amodel PPA is used to replace metal in high-temperature automotive applications. Continuous-use temperatures range from 120°C to 185°C (248°F to 365°F). Heat deflection temperatures (HDT) go up to 310°C (590°F).
 
Lower Moisture Absorption
Humid environments can have a devastating effect on the mechanical properties of standard polyamides. Amodel PPA's lower water absorption rate results in significantly less change in strength and stiffness, even with high levels of humidity.
 
Better Chemical Resistance
Amodel PPA's highly aromatic ring structure provides greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals than standard aliphatic polyamides, even at high temperatures.
