Dyneon Fluoroelastomer FC 1630 is a low-viscosity copolymer. This fluoroelastomer (FKM) gumstock is curable with amine or bisphenol-type curing agents. Dyneon Fluoroelastomer FC 1630 is suitable for use in transfer and injection molding, extrusion, calendering and coatings. It does not feature an incorporated curative, but is amine or bisphenol curable.
Dyneon fluoroelastomer FC 1630 can be compounded using standard water-cooled internal mixers or two-roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typical fluoroelastomer formulations. The dry ingredients should be blended before adding to the masticated gum. For best results, FC 1630 should be banded on the mill prior to adding the blended dry ingredients. Once mixed, the compounded stocks have good scorch resistance and storage stability.
