Description:
Amodel A-1133 HS is a 33% glass reinforced, heat stabilized polyphthalamide (PPA) with a high heat deflection temperature, high flexural modulus and high tensile strength. Excellent creep resistance and low moisture absorption are also characteristic of this resin.

Amodel A-1145 HS is a 45% glass reinforced, heat stabilized polyphthalamide (PPA) with a high heat deflection temperature, very high flexural modulus and very high tensile strength. Excellent creep resistance and low moisture absorption are also characteristic of this resin.

Amodel A-1133 NL resin is a 33% glass reinforced polyphthalamide (PPA) which is distinguished by its high-reflectivity white color. This grade features a high deflection temperature for compatibility with SMT processes, and low moisture absorption.

Amodel A-1130 FW is a 30% glass-fiber reinforced polyphthalamide (PPA) grade containing a solid lubricant. This resin was designed for moderate-pressure, low-velocity friction and wear applications.

Amodel A-1145 DW is a 45% glass-fiber-reinforced resin designed for high strength and stiffness and improved hydrolytic stability. This material has low moisture absorption and a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which means excellent dimensional stability. Creep resistance is also exceptional.

Overview:
Amodel PPA outperforms standard polyamides with higher strength and stiffness at elevated temperatures, better retention of properties in humid environments, and greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals. 
 
Higher Heat Resistance
Amodel PPA is used to replace metal in high-temperature automotive applications. Continuous-use temperatures range from 120°C to 185°C (248°F to 365°F). Heat deflection temperatures (HDT) go up to 310°C (590°F).
 
Lower Moisture Absorption
Humid environments can have a devastating effect on the mechanical properties of standard polyamides. Amodel PPA's lower water absorption rate results in significantly less change in strength and stiffness, even with high levels of humidity.
 
Better Chemical Resistance
Amodel PPA's highly aromatic ring structure provides greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals than standard aliphatic polyamides, even at high temperatures.
