Description:
Amodel AS-1935 HS is a 35% glass reinforced grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) resin developed specifically for improved performance in a 50/50 ethylene glycol and water environment. This material exceeds the performance required by the automotive industry for polymeric materials exposed to antifreeze at 226°F (108°C), even when tested at 275°F (135°C). It also offers great laser marking performance.

Amodel AS-4133 HS is a 33% glass reinforced, lubricated, heat stabilized grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) that offers fast cycle times and moldability in hot water molds. Testing conducted on samples dry as molded and samples conditioned to 50% relative humidity in accordance with ISO-1110, Accelerated Method. Typical applications include electrical and electronic components especially for automotive systems.

Amodel AS-4133 L polyphthalamide (PPA) a 33% glass reinforced, lubricated, structural grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) that offers fast cycle times and is hot water moldable. Typical applications include electrical and electronic components.

Amodel AS-4145 HS polyphthalamide (PPA) is a a 45% glass reinforced resin that is hot-water moldable. Key properties include high heat resistance, high strength and stiffness over a broad temperature range, low moisture absorption, excellent chemical resistance and excellent electrical properties. This resin is ideal for automotive electrical and electronic applications, including connectors, sockets, switches and sensors. It is also a good choice for under-hood enclosures that protect critical control systems such as anti-lock brakes, traction control, steering, electronic engine control, transmission and chassis control units. Its rapid crystallization rate and high flow can result in shorter cycles, thereby enhancing molding productivity and lowering costs.

Overview:
Amodel PPA outperforms standard polyamides with higher strength and stiffness at elevated temperatures, better retention of properties in humid environments, and greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals. 
 
Higher Heat Resistance
Amodel PPA is used to replace metal in high-temperature automotive applications. Continuous-use temperatures range from 120°C to 185°C (248°F to 365°F). Heat deflection temperatures (HDT) go up to 310°C (590°F).
 
Lower Moisture Absorption
Humid environments can have a devastating effect on the mechanical properties of standard polyamides. Amodel PPA's lower water absorption rate results in significantly less change in strength and stiffness, even with high levels of humidity.
 
Better Chemical Resistance
Amodel PPA's highly aromatic ring structure provides greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals than standard aliphatic polyamides, even at high temperatures.
