Description:
Ultramid B3K is an easy flowing, heat stabilized PA6 product for fast processing.
Ultramid B3L is an impact-modified, easy flowing injection molding PA6 grade for fast processing.
Ultramid B3M6 is a 30% mineral reinforced injection molding PA6 grade for industrial items requiring high impact strength and very high dimensional stability, excellent laser markability.
Ultramid B3GK24 is 30% combined glass-fiber and glass bead injection molding PA6 grade.
Ultramid B3GM35 is a 40% combined glass-fiber and mineral reinforced, pigmented black injection molding PA6 grade.
Ultramid B3U Q721 is an injection molding grade, flame-retardant, free from halogen and phosphorus, and UL94 V0 approved. Technical molded parts are used for electrical engineering.
Ultramid B3W is an unreinforced, heat stabilized, pigmented black, low viscosity, general purpose injection molding PA6 exhibiting excellent fluidity for filling thin sections. It possesses the combination of strength, stiffness and toughness properties as well as excellent chemical, thermal and abrasion resistance. The heat stabilizer system extends its retention of properties at elevated temperatures.
Ultramid B3WG10 is a heat stabilized, 50% glass fiber reinforced PA6 injection molding compound offering excellent strength, stiffness, high temperature performance and dimensional stability. It is available in natural, black weather resistant and pigmented versions.
Ultramid B3WG13 is a 63% glass reinforced, injection molding, high modulus nylon designed to have high strength and stiffness for metal replacement applications. It also has excellent moldability and outstanding surface appearance.
Ultramid B3WG13 HPX is a 63% glass reinforced, injection molding, high modulus nylon designed to have high strength and stiffness for metal replacement applications. It also has excellent moldability and outstanding surface appearance.
Overview:
Ultramid grades are molding compounds on the basis of PA6, PA66 and various co-polyamides such as PA66/6. The range also includes PA610 and semi-aromatic polyamides such as PA6T/6. The molding compounds are available unreinforced, reinforced with glass fibers or minerals and also reinforced with long-glass fibers for special applications. Ultramid is noted for its high mechanical strength, stiffness and thermal stability. In addition, Ultramid offers good toughness at low temperatures, favorable sliding friction behavior and can be processed without any problems.
The most important properties of Ultramid:
High strength and rigidity
Very good impact strength
Outstanding resistance to chemicals
Low tendency to creep
Dimensional stability
Simple processing
Because of the manifold and tailor-made characteristics of Ultramid many applications are possible, especially in automotive construction, electrical engineering and electronics, in household technology, industrial connection, photovoltaics, in construction and installation, furniture, the sanitary industry and in mechanical engineering.
Ultramid can be processed by all methods known for thermoplastics. The main methods are injection molding and extrusion. Complex moldings are economically manufactured in large numbers from Ultramid by injection molding. The extrusion method is used to produce films, semi-finished products, pipes, profiled parts, sheet and monofilaments. Semi-finished products are usually further processed by cutting tools to form finished molded parts.
