Amodel AT-1001L is an unreinforced, impact modified polyphthalamide (PPA) resin that exhibits exceptional impact strength at temperatures ranging from room temperature to as low as -40°F (-40°C), which suggests possible applications in ski boots and hockey skates. In addition, its chemical and wear resistance, combined with good mechanical properties, make Amodel AT-1001L resin a prime candidate for applications such as anti-friction and wear resistant components, chemical, oil field, automotive and safety equipment.

Amodel AT-1002 HS is a neat, toughened, heat stabilized polyphthalamide (PPA) resin that offers superior retention of properties after humid thermal aging; high impact at low temperature and better mechanical properties than many unreinforced thermoplastic polyester and nylon resins. This material was specifically designed for automotive electrical/electronic applications such as connectors, sockets and sensors.

Amodel AT-1116 HS resin is a toughened polyphthalamide (PPA) grade containing 16% glass reinforcement. This resin has a high heat deflection temperature and a high flexural modulus with greater tensile elongation than standard untoughened glass reinforced grades of PPA. This grade was designed specifically to be cost effective for many applications requiring stiffness, good dimensional stability, chemical resistance and ductility. This material can be molded using conventional injection molding equipment and standard methods. Potential applications for AMODEL AT-1116 HS resin include bearings, bearing retainers/cages, housings, chemical process equipment components, motor frames, sporting equipment, lawn and garden equipment, and various applications requiring press-fit or snap-fit assembly.

Amodel AT-1125 HS polyphthalamide (PPA) is a toughened, heat stabilized 25% glass reinforced resin, designed as a cost effective solution for applications requiring stiffness, good dimensional stability, chemical resistance and ductility. This resin has a high heat deflection temperature and a high flexural modulus, with greater tensile elongation than untoughened glass-reinforced PPA. Typical applications include bearings, bearing retainers/cages, housings, chemical processing equipment components, motor frames, sporting equipment, lawn and garden equipment and components that require press-fit or snap-fit assembly.

Amodel AT-6115 HS is a 15% glass-fiber reinforced, toughened grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) resin designed to possess more elongation than other 15% glass-fiber reinforced grades of Amodel resin. This grade was developed for automotive snap-fit electronic connectors. It offers high flow and short molding cycles.

Amodel AT-6130 HS is a 30% glass-reinforced, toughened polyphthalamide (PPA) resin that has more elongation than other 30% glass-reinforced grades of Amodel resin. This grade was developed for automotive snap-fit electronic connectors. It offers high flow and short molding cycles. The processing window is relatively broad and mold temperatures as low as 150°F (65°C) can be used.

Overview:
Amodel PPA outperforms standard polyamides with higher strength and stiffness at elevated temperatures, better retention of properties in humid environments, and greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals. 
 
Higher Heat Resistance
Amodel PPA is used to replace metal in high-temperature automotive applications. Continuous-use temperatures range from 120°C to 185°C (248°F to 365°F). Heat deflection temperatures (HDT) go up to 310°C (590°F).
 
Lower Moisture Absorption
Humid environments can have a devastating effect on the mechanical properties of standard polyamides. Amodel PPA's lower water absorption rate results in significantly less change in strength and stiffness, even with high levels of humidity.
 
Better Chemical Resistance
Amodel PPA's highly aromatic ring structure provides greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals than standard aliphatic polyamides, even at high temperatures.
