Amodel AS-1133 HS is a 33% glass-reinforced, heat stabilized polyphthalamide (PPA) resin that provides excellent structural integrity in molded parts, even those with wall thicknesses greater than 0.125 in (3 mm). Key properties of this structural resin are high heat deflection temperature, high flexural modulus, high tensile strength, excellent creep resistance and low moisture absorption.

Amodel AS-1145 HS is a 45% glass-reinforced heat stabilized polyphthalamide (PPA) resin that provides excellent structural integrity in molded parts, even those with wall thicknesses greater than 0.125 in (3 mm). Key properties of this structural resin are high heat deflection temperature, high flexural modulus, high tensile strength, excellent creep resistance, and low moisture absorption.

Amodel AS-1566 HS resin is a 65% glass and mineral reinforced polyphthalamide (PPA) resin that exhibits a high deflection temperature and high flexural modulus. This grade was designed specifically to be cost effective for most applications requiring high stiffness, good dimensional stability and chemical resistance. Typical applications for Amodel AS-1566 HS resin include electrical connectors and housings, motor components, pistons, covers, engine parts and transmission components.

Amodel AS-1933 HS is a 33% glass reinforced grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) resin developed specifically for improved performance in a 50/50 ethylene glycol and water environment. This material exceeds the performance required by the automotive industry for polymeric materials exposed to antifreeze at 226°F (108°C), even when tested at 275°F (135°C).
Potential applications include a variety of automotive components such as thermostat housings, heater core endcaps, heater hose connectors, and water inlets, outlets and valves.

Amodel AS-1945 HS is a 45% glass reinforced grade of polyphthalamide (PPA) resin developed specifically for improved performance in a 50/50 ethylene glycol and water environment. This material exceeds the performance required by the automotive industry for polymeric materials exposed to antifreeze at 226°F (108°C), even when tested at 275°F (135°C).

Amodel PPA outperforms standard polyamides with higher strength and stiffness at elevated temperatures, better retention of properties in humid environments, and greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals.

Higher Heat Resistance
Amodel PPA is used to replace metal in high-temperature automotive applications. Continuous-use temperatures range from 120°C to 185°C (248°F to 365°F). Heat deflection temperatures (HDT) go up to 310°C (590°F).
 
Lower Moisture Absorption
Humid environments can have a devastating effect on the mechanical properties of standard polyamides. Amodel PPA's lower water absorption rate results in significantly less change in strength and stiffness, even with high levels of humidity.
 
Better Chemical Resistance
Amodel PPA's highly aromatic ring structure provides greater resistance to a broader range of chemicals than standard aliphatic polyamides, even at high temperatures.
